Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 13-week contract (travel assignment)
- Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Working three shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide bedside nursing care for surgical and transplant patients on a MedSurg unit
- Monitor patient vital signs and medical conditions using Welch Allyn equipment and EMR systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Respond to patient needs promptly and document care accurately
- Follow unit policies, including dress code (navy scrubs), and adhere to safety procedures
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license in Texas or the qualifying state
- Minimum of 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- BLS certification required
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with kidney transplants, dialysis patients, and diabetic care
- ACLS certification is a plus
- Experience working with complex surgical cases and postoperative care
