Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to inpatients in a Level 1 Trauma acute care hospital and inpatient rehabilitation unit.
• Perform assessments and develop treatment plans for patients requiring rehab care.
• Conduct modified barium swallow studies (MBSS) in radiology for speech therapy patients.
• Deliver one-on-one therapy sessions utilizing equipment such as walking devices, bikes, bars, and treadmills.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists and speech therapists to optimize patient recovery.
• Complete documentation using electronic medical records (Meditech).

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in acute care hospital or inpatient rehabilitation settings for PT and OT.
• At least 2 years of full-time experience performing modified barium swallow studies for speech therapists.
• Demonstrated proficiency in delivering inpatient therapy treatments in a Level 1 Trauma or similar acute hospital environment.
• Active licensure or certification in occupational therapy.
• Ability to work rotating weekends as part of the schedule.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with trauma, neuroscience, or complex medical cases.
• Familiarity with hospital equipment and EMR systems such as Meditech.
• Flexible and accountable with a positive attitude, good humor, and open-mindedness.
