Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to inpatients in a Level 1 Trauma acute care hospital and inpatient rehabilitation unit.
- Perform assessments and develop treatment plans for patients requiring rehab care.
- Conduct modified barium swallow studies (MBSS) in radiology for speech therapy patients.
- Deliver one-on-one therapy sessions utilizing equipment such as walking devices, bikes, bars, and treadmills.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists and speech therapists to optimize patient recovery.
- Complete documentation using electronic medical records (Meditech).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in acute care hospital or inpatient rehabilitation settings for PT and OT.
- At least 2 years of full-time experience performing modified barium swallow studies for speech therapists.
- Demonstrated proficiency in delivering inpatient therapy treatments in a Level 1 Trauma or similar acute hospital environment.
- Active licensure or certification in occupational therapy.
- Ability to work rotating weekends as part of the schedule.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working with trauma, neuroscience, or complex medical cases.
- Familiarity with hospital equipment and EMR systems such as Meditech.
- Flexible and accountable with a positive attitude, good humor, and open-mindedness.
