Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, Full-time, Nights, 13-week assignment, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), including weekends and rotating shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-risk obstetrical nursing care in a busy labor and delivery unit
- Monitor fetal and maternal well-being using GE fetal monitors and other advanced equipment
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&Cs, and post-delivery recovery care
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately in the Meditech and CPNS systems
- Support high-acuity obstetrical patients in a fast-paced hospital environment
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in high-risk labor and delivery nursing
- Current RN license
- Certification in intermediate fetal monitoring (AWONN preferred)
- Experience with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and postpartum recovery
- Ability to circulate during C-section procedures
- Ability to float within the women's hospital units as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Advanced obstetric nursing skills and certifications
- Experience working with high-risk OB patients in a trauma or tertiary hospital setting
