Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a Telemetry unit, monitoring cardiac patients with supervision from medical staff.
• Float to other departments such as emergency holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units as needed.
• Cover scheduled rotating day and night shifts, including every other weekend.
• Adhere to staffing ratios typically between 1:3 to 1:5 patients per nurse.
• Follow all hospital safety and clinical protocols, including BLS certification standards.
• Participate in weekly start dates, with floating in 4-hour blocks while on shift.

Required Qualifications

• Valid BLS (AHA) certification.
• Epic electronic medical records experience.
• Ability to pass day-one testing (clinical skills or knowledge).
• Minimum 6 months of recent clinical experience in a hospital setting.
• Prior trauma experience or relevant specialization preferred.
• Must have been separated from current employer for a minimum of 6 months if previously employed on a perm, per diem, or contract basis.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS (AHA) certification.
• NIHSS certification.
• Experience in Level 1 trauma centers.
• Experience working in fast-paced acute care environments.
