Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 12.5-hour shifts, days, 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide care to residents in a safe, caring, and efficient manner according to standards and individualized care plans
- Assess, plan, implement, and coordinate resident care and update plans as needed
- Administer medications and treatments to assigned residents and ensure physician orders are processed promptly
- Safeguard residents’ property and maintain their privacy, confidentiality, and self-esteem
- Promote residents’ independence and choices, and assist in maintaining a safe, pleasant living environment
- Observe residents, document care provided, and report residents’ conditions to appropriate staff
- Respond promptly to resident call lights and assist with resident and family education
- Utilize electronic medical records accurately and operate transfer equipment safely and effectively
- Follow safety protocols related to fire, disaster, and department-specific procedures
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing skills, medication effects, and side effects
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and transfer equipment
