Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 12.5-hour shifts, days, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care to residents in a safe, caring, and efficient manner according to standards and individualized care plans
• Assess, plan, implement, and coordinate resident care and update plans as needed
• Administer medications and treatments to assigned residents and ensure physician orders are processed promptly
• Safeguard residents’ property and maintain their privacy, confidentiality, and self-esteem
• Promote residents’ independence and choices, and assist in maintaining a safe, pleasant living environment
• Observe residents, document care provided, and report residents’ conditions to appropriate staff
• Respond promptly to resident call lights and assist with resident and family education
• Utilize electronic medical records accurately and operate transfer equipment safely and effectively
• Follow safety protocols related to fire, disaster, and department-specific procedures

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing skills, medication effects, and side effects
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and transfer equipment
