Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient nursing care in the Emergency Psychiatric Services department.
- Develop and update individualized, interdisciplinary care plans based on patient needs.
- Evaluate patient outcomes and modify care strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive mental health treatment.
- Assist patients with psychiatric illnesses, including those requiring medical care or detoxification.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatment plans.
Required Qualifications
- Valid State of Maine RN license.
- At least 1 year of previous experience in mental health nursing.
- BLS certification.
- CPI training must be current prior to start date.
- Associates degree in nursing required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong stress management and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Flexibility to provide 24/7 coverage, including night shifts.
