Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, temporary, nights shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide social work services in an acute hospital setting, focusing on patient needs during emergency care
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement discharge plans and psychosocial assessments
• Offer crisis intervention, counseling, and support to patients and families in the emergency room
• Document patient interactions accurately using electronic health records
• Float within scope to meet facility staffing needs as required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Alaska LMSW or LCSW license (pending license acceptance is acceptable)
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience, ER experience preferred
• Must have current AK license as LMSW or LCSW

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in trauma or emergency department settings
• Ability to work flexible nights and adapt to a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
