Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Night shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized pediatric intensive care to patients up to 25 years old, including those with epilepsy monitoring and complex medical needs
- Administer medications, including inotropes, and perform EKG assessments for rhythm recognition
- Monitor and document patient progress, ensuring safe and effective care during night shifts
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Conduct assessments and respond promptly to patient needs and changes in condition
- Adhere to hospital protocols and patient safety standards
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months of permanent pediatric experience prior to travel assignments
- Recent pediatric care experience, including epilepsy monitoring and specialized patient management
- Valid Ohio license or license from a compact state
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (current and applicable)
- Experience with EKG interpretation and inotropes required
- Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation; acceptable scores necessary
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Travel experience in pediatric intensive care units acceptable
- Experience with NIHHS and familiarity with Qualivis – Lotus for submitting hours worked
