Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown
Location: Overland Park, KS
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Nights, 13-week assignment with 3 shifts per week (12-hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in Intermediate Care/Progressive Care/Stepdown units.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to emergencies.
• Manage patient conditions including sepsis, wound care, renal failure, stroke, COVID-19, and other complex diagnoses.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and float between approximately five units across multiple campuses as needed.
• Complete documentation and ensure compliance with hospital protocols during patient care.
• Participate in holiday, weekend, and charge nurse assignments as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS certification required; NIHSS preferred.
• 1 to 2 years of recent experience in a similar Med/Surg Intermediate or Stepdown setting.
• Ability to interpret 12-lead EKGs and perform cardiac monitoring.
• Experience with patient care procedures such as IV therapy, sheaths, feeding tubes, and blood product administration.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• ACLS certification.
• Skills in gastrointestinal management, central line care, and telemetric monitoring.
• Experience with advanced cardiac procedures like cardiac catheterization preparation and post-care.
