Registered Nurse Oncology
Job Title
- Registered Nurse - Hematology Oncology

Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Day shifts, 5 days per week
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments, education, and case management for adult hematology patients.
- Conduct phlebotomy, central line care, and assist with bone marrow biopsies.
- Facilitate patient scheduling for infusions and manage phone triage calls.
- Maintain documentation and ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Follow clinic protocols and collaborate with hematology teams to provide high-quality outpatient care.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in acute hematology or oncology settings.
- Must have at least 1 year of experience in outpatient hematology or oncology clinics.
- Valid BLS certification.
- Phlebotomy skills are required.
- Ability to bring and use own stethoscope.
- EPIC EMR access proficiency is preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with benign hematology conditions such as bleeding disorders, hemophilia, anemia, sickle cell disease, or DVTs.
- Oncology clinic experience preferred but not required.
- Certifications such as ONS, BMTCN, or OCN are a plus.

Additional Notes
- No call, float, or weekend shifts required.
- Clinic is closed on major holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, and Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
- RNs are required to bring their own stethoscope.
- Manual diffs are performed by lab personnel; RNs focus on patient assessment and education.
