Registered Nurse - Telemetry
Location: Conroe, TX
Schedule / Job Type: Travel, 13-week assignment, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 3 shifts per week, days
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients on the telemetry unit, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Perform patient assessments, monitor heart rhythms, and respond to changes promptly.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IVs and phlebotomy.
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record system.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Recognize and respond to stroke symptoms and other emergencies.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid RN license
- Experience in medical-surgical or telemetry nursing
- Proficiency in IV insertion and phlebotomy
- ACLS certification
- Ability to work in a team environment, organized, and proactive
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Wound care experience
- Familiarity with NGT insertion and tube feedings
