Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy.
- Assist with the placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
- Support bedside and procedural bronchoscopy procedures; assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients.
- Respond to emergent patient situations, ensuring airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitations.
- Provide neonatal stabilization and resuscitation support during high-risk deliveries.
- Serve as a clinical resource, offering education to patients, families, and staff, and maintain respiratory therapy equipment.
Required Qualifications
- RCP license issued by the Texas Medical Board
- RRT certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Critical care experience with adult patients
- NICU experience, including use of oscillators, InoMax, Vapotherm, and 980 ventilators
- PALS and NRP certifications
