Registered Nurse - Cardiac Stepdown
Location: Hilo, HI
Schedule / Job Type: Rotating shifts, 36 hours per week, full-time, onsite
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide primary nursing care to patients in a 15-bed Progressive Care Unit, including telemetry monitoring and strip reading.
- Manage patient care in a 3 ICU Step-down unit and 12 telemetry beds.
- Perform procedures such as fingerstick blood sugar and continuous cardiac monitoring.
- Utilize Meditech charting, Pyxis medication system, and BIPAP equipment as needed.
- Administer medications and perform assessments following hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare team for coordinated patient care.
Required Qualifications:
- Current Hawaii Registered Nurse license (must be obtained if not active at time of acceptance).
- At least 1 year of recent hospital acute care experience.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
- Basic Skills in telemetry monitoring and cardiac care.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Experience in Progressive Care or telemetry units.
- Certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NIHSS are highly preferred.
