Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic CT exams utilizing GE imaging equipment, adhering to established protocols.
- Verify patient identity, review medical records, and interview patients to obtain or update medical history.
- Explain procedures, including potential side effects, risks, benefits, and follow-up instructions.
- Set up equipment, acquire quality images, and review images to ensure accuracy for radiologist review.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to medical emergencies during procedures.
- Provide post-care instructions as prescribed by physicians and participate in process improvement activities.
- Educate residents, student technologists, and new staff on imaging procedures.
- Take call or standby shifts as required by the department.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT certification in CT and Radiology (must be attached to submission).
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (must be attached).
- At least 2 years of recent CT and Radiology experience and the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with GE CT and X-ray machines.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a community hospital setting.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with night shifts.
