- Full-time, on-site, day shifts with every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care primarily on a comprehensive Medical Surgical unit, with occasional rotation to various Med-Surg specialties such as Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, and Observation.
- Work a 36-hour week on day shifts, ensuring quality and safe patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient information accurately within the Epic EMR system.
- Assess, monitor, and interpret telemetry data; proficiency in telemetry reading required.
- Maintain current BLS certification and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 3 years recent/current experience in Telemetry and/or Stepdown Nursing.
- Proficiency in Epic EMR system (refresher classes or 1:1 training are not provided).
- Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips, with competency testing on day one.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a Medical Surgical setting with diverse patient populations.
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills.
