Job Title

Schedule / Job Type
• Travel, Night shift, 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care for a 42-bed Neuro-Cardiac unit specializing in stroke and heart failure patients
• Float to support various units and hospitals as needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including cardiologists and neurologists, to deliver high-quality care
• Adhere to best practice standards and safety protocols while managing complex neuro-cardiac conditions
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system

Required Qualifications
• Associates degree in Nursing (ASN or higher)
• Valid and active Illinois RN license or Compact License (No temporary licenses accepted)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a specialized cardiac or neurological unit; consideration given to 18 months with appropriate licensure

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior experience working in a stroke or heart failure unit
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Strong critical thinking and patient management skills
