Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients in the Interventional Radiology department, focusing on neurological procedures.
• Perform assessments, planning, interventions, and evaluations in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments adhering to established policies, standards, and legal requirements.
• Accurately document patient care in accordance with organizational standards.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans based on medical directives and patient needs.
• Educate patients and families to support understanding and compliance with care plans.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and support organizational policies and procedures.
• Utilize critical thinking to manage complex clinical situations and delegate appropriately.
• Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to evidence-based practice improvements.
• Support patient flow in outpatient and clinic settings, including telephone triage and remote patient management.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of 3 years of RN experience, including at least 1 year in critical care.
• Cardiology or Interventional Neurology experience preferred.
• Current Illinois RN licensure.
• CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Successfully complete EKG testing prior to orientation completion.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in Interventional Neurology or advanced imaging procedures.
• Strong critical thinking and patient safety focus.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments and on-call settings.
