• Full-time, day shifts, 5x8 (6 am – 2 pm, Monday – Friday)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) coverage for cardiac surgical procedures, including minimally invasive and open vein harvesting techniques.
• Assist with Endoscopic Vein Harvesting, Open Vein Harvesting, and standard CABG procedures.
• Maintain patient safety and surgical efficiency during CVOR cases.
• Support surgical team with documentation and equipment management.
• Participate in on-call rotations, including 1-2 overnight calls per week and one full weekend every 3-4 weeks.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years CVOR experience with travel exposure in cardiac surgery.
• Certification as a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) through NBSTSA, ABSA, or NSAA (current).
• BLS certification required.
• State license (Kentucky Certified Surgical Assistant - KCSA) if employed longer than 2 years.
• Must be credentialed via Medical Affairs (privileging process that takes approximately 60+ days).
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in endoscopic vein harvesting, minimally invasive cardiac procedures, and standard CABG operations.
• Prior travel healthcare experience preferred.
