• Full-time, days shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process for an assigned group of patients during each shift.
• Ensure delivery of safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, and equitable care.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient needs, actions taken, and responses.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Follow protocols and standards of care, initiating and documenting treatments and medication administration as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families regarding care needs and discharge planning throughout their stay.
• Supervise and provide guidance to Licensed Practical Nurses and non-licensed personnel.
• Complete population-specific, procedure, and protocol competency training as required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid nursing license in the state of New Mexico or a Compact State.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or the Red Cross.
• At least one prior 13-week travel assignment.
• Minimum of two years of current experience in a medical-surgical specialty.
• Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• EPIC electronic medical record system experience (training available).
