- Full-time, evening shift (Monday-Friday, 2:00pm - 10:30pm)
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process histology tissue samples, including embedding, sectioning, and staining.
- Ensure high-quality specimen preparation in accordance with lab protocols.
- Follow safety and quality standards in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
- Assist with routine laboratory maintenance and documentation.
- Collaborate with laboratory team to support histology services.
Required Qualifications
- ASCP HT/HTL registration.
- High school diploma and completion of a NAACLS-accredited Histotechnologist program or 60 semester hours from an accredited college or university with 12 biology and chemistry semester hours plus one year of recent histopathology experience.
- Technical or professional training in Histotechnology.
- Prior experience with embedding, sectioning, and staining tissues.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
License/Certification Requirements
- ASCP HT/HTL certification.
Additional Details
- No floating requirements; no weekend, on-call, or holiday shifts.
- Holidays observed: November 27-28, 2025, December 25, 2025, and January 1, 2026.
- Client allows cancellation of up to two shifts per month at no cost or pay to the technician.
- Orientation required: Two-day orientation at TUKHS during the first week.
- Facility is nicotine-free; bi-weekly pay schedule.
- Shift hours: 8-hour non-billable orientation; candidate must be available for 8-hour shifts.
