Key Responsibilities

• Administer radiation therapy as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist
• Interact compassionately with patients, providing education and support throughout treatment
• Properly set up and position patients for accurate delivery of radiation, including immobilization and simulation procedures
• Produce radiographs for simulation and tattoo treatment areas when applicable
• Monitor patient responses and notify medical staff of any adverse reactions
• Ensure daily equipment warm-up, simulator checks, and maintain accurate logs and charts
• Assist with transport and support of patients within the facility
• Keep treatment and simulation rooms clean, organized, and stocked
• Participate in performance improvement activities and departmental inservice programs

Required Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (must be attached to application)
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (must be attached)
• Experience using Elekta radiation equipment
• Ability to work scheduled hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting as a Radiation Therapist
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of simulation, portal localization, and treatment planning procedures
