Key Responsibilities
- Administer radiation therapy as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist
- Interact compassionately with patients, providing education and support throughout treatment
- Properly set up and position patients for accurate delivery of radiation, including immobilization and simulation procedures
- Produce radiographs for simulation and tattoo treatment areas when applicable
- Monitor patient responses and notify medical staff of any adverse reactions
- Ensure daily equipment warm-up, simulator checks, and maintain accurate logs and charts
- Assist with transport and support of patients within the facility
- Keep treatment and simulation rooms clean, organized, and stocked
- Participate in performance improvement activities and departmental inservice programs
Required Qualifications
- ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (must be attached to application)
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (must be attached)
- Experience using Elekta radiation equipment
- Ability to work scheduled hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting as a Radiation Therapist
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of simulation, portal localization, and treatment planning procedures
