Registered Nurse Emergency Room
Job Title
- Registered Nurse - Emergency Room
Location
- Torrance, CA
Schedule / Job Type
- Mids, 12-hour shifts, local radius (50 miles), 3 shifts per week, every other weekend
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced hospital setting
- Float between units including Pediatric units as needed, with support available
- Adhere to hospital protocols and documentation procedures using Epic charting system
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality patient care
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during emergency interventions
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of ER nursing experience
- Valid license (clinical license required; pending license not accepted)
- Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH, PALS
- Ability to work every other weekend, with 6–8 shifts per contract
- Willingness to float between units as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in an acute care hospital environment
- Familiarity with Epic electronic health record system
- Flexibility to accommodate block scheduling at manager’s discretion
