Key Responsibilities
- Provide care for a diverse medical-surgical patient population, including respiratory, diabetic, surgical, psychiatric, palliative, and hospice patients.
- Observe and monitor patient conditions, documenting findings accurately in the electronic health record system.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure compliance with unit protocols, including passing a Pass/Fail EKG exam required for all RNs.
- Float across various facilities within the health system as needed, including holiday coverage.
- Adhere to strict attendance policies, including scheduled hours and punctuality.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as an RN.
- BLS certification.
- Ability to pass an EKG exam during onboarding.
- Flexibility to work 12-hour days, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous charge nurse experience.
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system.
- Experience in medical-surgical, telemetry, or similar units.
