Registered Nurse ICU

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, night shifts, 36 hours per week (3 shifts), 13-week assignments, guaranteed 3 shifts per period

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care for ICU patients with complex medical needs, including respiratory failure, ARDS, and multi-organ failure
• Manage ventilators, including BIPAP and invasive airway management
• Interpret and monitor arterial blood gases (ABGs), dysrhythmias, and invasive hemodynamic lines (CVP, Swan-Ganz)
• Administer medications, blood products, and manage IV therapy, including titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Assist with management of post-operative cardiac, thoracic, abdominal surgeries, and transplant patients
• Follow infection prevention protocols and utilize PPE appropriately in a critical care environment

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of Missouri
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification required
• 2+ years of ICU experience, including Medical ICU and Surgical ICU settings
• Proficient in interpreting dysrhythmias, managing invasive lines, and ventilator management

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with CRRT, dialysis, and specialized ICU equipment
• Knowledge of end-of-life and organ donation protocols
• Ability to float within ICU units as needed within scope of practice
