Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Monitor patient conditions using telemetry equipment and perform accurate assessments and documentation in the Meditech Expanse system
- Administer medications, including IV therapies and blood transfusions, following hospital protocols
- Perform procedures such as telemetry monitoring, paracentesis, and other bedside interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and unit guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Active nursing license in good standing (compact license preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years' recent med/surg nursing experience
- Current BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred
- NIH certification (must be renewed annually)
- Strong telemetry interpretation skills and experience with post-percutaneous coronary intervention care
- Proficiency in skills such as EKG interpretation, CPAP management, port access, and IV therapy
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vacs, drains, and post-dialysis assessment
- Knowledge of central line management and blood transfusions
- Ability to float to skilled units such as PCU and post-surgical Med/Surg areas when needed

Additional Details
- Two positions available for seasonal travel assignments
- 13-week contracts starting in January 2026, with night shift schedules
