Key Responsibilities

• Assist during surgical procedures in a busy 22-bed OR specializing in cardiovascular, neuro, orthopedic, urology, and robotic surgeries
• Support the surgical team with equipment preparation and sterile techniques
• Ensure adherence to safety and hospital protocols during surgeries
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care
• Participate in on-call shifts and weekend coverage as required

Required Qualifications

• Competency with Epic electronic medical record system
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA
• NBSTSA certification (National Board for Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting)
• Experience working in a surgical environment, preferably in a hospital setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with transplant procedures, especially liver transplantation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills

Additional Notes

• BILH coverage sheet required at submission
• No local candidates within 50 miles accepted unless separated from BILH for over 6 months
• Guarantee of 72 hours biweekly, excluding on-call hours
• Shifts are in the mids (daytime hours) with 3 shifts per week and 1 weekend shift per month
• On-call responsibilities include 3 call shifts per month and up to one weekend shift per month
