Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type:
Full-time, day shifts, approximately 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care for obstetric patients in labor, delivery, and postpartum settings.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries, including vaginal and cesarean sections, and operate fetal monitoring equipment.
• Support obstetrical procedures such as sterile exams, fetal assessments, and medication administration.
• Ensure patient safety through monitoring maternal and fetal status, recognizing signs of complications, and participating in emergency interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive maternity care aligned with hospital protocols.
• Document patient care accurately in compliance with clinical standards and regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license in the state of Missouri.
• BLS, FHM, and NRPS certifications.
• Experience with antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum care.
• Proficiency in fetal monitoring, sterile procedures, and obstetrical assessments.
• Ability to assist with high-risk deliveries, use of internal and external fetal monitoring, and neonatal resuscitation.
• Knowledge of maternal and fetal complication management, including hemorrhage, pre-eclampsia, and preterm labor.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• LDRP experience preferred, or at minimum labor/delivery experience.
• Familiarity with fetal monitoring systems such as Phillips Avalon.
• Ability to float within scope to postpartum and antepartum units as needed.
