• Days shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
• 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations in a high-volume ER setting.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver timely and quality patient interventions.
• Monitor patient conditions, perform procedures, and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health record system.
• Engage in patient education and uphold the hospital’s patient experience standards, including AIDET and respectful communication.
• Adhere to hospital policies and maintain certifications as required.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a registered nurse, including at least 1 year in an emergency room setting.
• License to practice as a registered nurse in North Carolina.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications prior to start date.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume ER environment.
• Strong team player with excellent communication and feedback skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center.
• Previous experience with HCA facilities is preferred.
• Familiarity with GE patient monitors, Baxter pumps, and Cerner documentation system.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain flexible in a dynamic setting.

Additional Details

• Certification in ENPC required within 90 days of hire.
• Uniform: Navy scrubs.
• Floating within ED sections is required; no outside floating.

Notes

• This is a travel RN position based at Mission Hospital, Asheville, NC.
• Shifts are days, 12.5 hours each, with a schedule of 3 shifts per week.
