• Travel, Full-time, 13-week assignment, Days shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care in the Medical ICU for adult patients, including those on ventilators and critical care drips.
• Perform advanced procedures such as intubations, cardioversions, ventriculostomy drain management, IABP management, and proning patients.
• Monitor patient status using ventilators, IV pumps, balloon pumps, and other critical care equipment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including unit secretaries and other nurses, to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Adhere to hospital policies on PPE and infection control, including safe donning and doffing of PPE.
• Document patient care accurately using the electronic medical records system and ensure compliance with clinical guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Louisiana or a compact multistate license.
• Minimum of 1 year ICU nursing experience, including ventilator management.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; TNCC preferred.
• Willingness to care for COVID-19 patients and adherence to PPE protocols.
• Strong assessment skills, critical thinking, and excellent communication abilities.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with neuro, cardiac, and respiratory systems.
• Proficiency in critical care procedures such as ventriculostomy management and renal replacement therapy.
• Demonstrated teamwork, flexibility, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Meditech electronic documentation system.
