School LVN/LPN

1:1 SubPool School Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Primary Purpose:  Responsible for implementation of health programs, health counseling with students, parents, and staff, provision of preventive health services, augmentation of health education programs, and liaison with the school community.

Qualifications:

• Must have a Associate's degree or beyond.
• Valid TX or Compact Nursing License 
• BLS Certification required.
• Minimum 1yr exp under licensure
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric healthcare setting preferred.

Skills & Experience:

• Prior experience providing 1:1 nursing care in a school environment.
• Familiarity with student health plans and accommodations.
• Ability to work independently and handle confidential information professionally.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one nursing care for students with medical needs within the school setting.
• Monitor and support students’ health and safety throughout the school day.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following proper protocols.
• Collaborate with school staff and healthcare teams to ensure student well-being.
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation.
• Respond to student health emergencies promptly and effectively.
