Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Contract, Onsite, 12-hour shifts, 16-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical care to a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics.
- Manage IV drips, perform venipuncture, and handle cardiac monitoring and respiratory treatments.
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health record system.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure efficient patient flow and safety.
- Participate in bi-weekly orientations and adjust schedule to meet unit and patient care needs.
- Work every other weekend and alternate holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day.
Required Qualifications
- Active NY nursing license or proof of application with applied date.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, including emergency room care.
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CEN, ENPC.
- EPIC EMR experience from the past 2 years.
- NIHSS certification prior to start date.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in teaching hospital settings.
- Familiarity with advanced emergency procedures and trauma protocols.
- Additional certifications such as CPEN or ABLS are a plus.
