Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, contract, day shift (12 hours), 4 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized ICU patient care for neurosurgical, post-stroke, trauma, and other critical patients
• Monitor telemetry and manage ventilators, IV drips, and patient sedation
• Float to step-down units, emergency department, or medical-surgical units as needed
• Administer treatments and interventions for respiratory failure, renal failure, sepsis, MODS, heart failure, and post-cardiac procedures
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, including telemetry rhythm interpretation and emergency management

Required Qualifications

• Valid Virginia or Compact State RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 3 years critical care experience, neuro experience strongly preferred (post-neurosurgical, EVD, stroke)
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications via American Heart Association
• Proficiency in EPIC electronic health record system
• Ability to float to different units and manage complex neuro patients
• Valid driver’s license for address verification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Travel healthcare experience
• Experience managing vents, IV titration, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Prior telemetry patient care experience
• Strong knowledge of neuro patient protocols and emergency procedures
