Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, day shifts, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide ICU nursing care to critically ill patients, including neuro, post-neurosurgical, stroke, trauma, and other complex conditions.
• Monitor and manage ventilators, IV drips, telemetry, and conscious sedation.
• Respond to emergencies and manage dysrhythmias effectively.
• Float to Stepdown units, ED, and Med/Surg units as needed, ensuring continuous patient care.
• Complete documentation and ensure compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Virginia or compact nursing license in hand at the time of submission.
• Strong neuro ICU experience, including post-neurosurgical, EVD, and stroke care.
• BLS and ACLS certifications via American Heart Association.
• NIHSS certification required.
• EPIC electronic health record proficiency.
• Ability to float to other units and manage complex patient populations.
• Clear background with no prior license or background hits.
• Valid driver’s license for address verification.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3+ years of critical care experience, with extra consideration for candidates with neuro ICU background.
• Travel nursing experience preferred.
• Experience with P/F testing, EKG interpretation, and telemetry monitoring.
