Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Night shifts (3x12 hours), 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, with every 3rd weekend and holiday as needed. Float required across all Cone Health campuses.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient rehabilitation care for patients with neurological conditions, strokes, post-op surgical needs, and general debility.
• Administer medications, interpret laboratory results, and perform patient assessments including vital signs and allergies.
• Conduct dressing changes and set up aseptic/sterile procedures.
• Handle phlebotomy, specimen labeling, and specimen collection such as throat and urine samples.
• Perform telephone triage and manage pharmacy/ refill requests.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in hand.
• Minimum 1 year of acute care rehabilitation experience.
• EPIC electronic health record system experience.
• BLS certification.
• Ability to interpret lab results, perform medication reconciliation, and conduct patient history assessments.
• Pass/fail EKG exam (candidate must be aware and prepared; two attempts allowed).
• Clear compliance documentation by 12 noon EST the Wednesday before start date.
• Education verification through a third-party vendor.
• No open cases on background check.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in inpatient rehab, especially with neurological diagnoses such as CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injury.
• Experience with complex patient care including assessment of laboratory results and medication management.
