Key Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting.
• Conduct nursing assessments, develop, implement, and evaluate care plans based on resident needs.
• Coordinate outside physician visits and communicate effectively with physicians and family members.
• Educate residents, families, and staff regarding care plans.
• Administer and document routine and emergency medications and treatments accurately.
• Ensure clinical documentation is complete and timely to maintain care quality.
• Perform safety and infection control procedures to ensure a safe environment.
• Supervise Nursing Assistants and participate in Quality Management programs.
• Demonstrate proficiency in IV therapy, including initiating IVs, managing central lines, and catheters.
• Serve as the primary contact during assigned shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of South Dakota.
• Ability to perform nursing assessments and develop care plans.
• Experience with medication administration and documentation.
• Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures.
• Competence in IV therapy procedures.
• Strong communication and supervisory skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in LTC or SNF settings.
• Familiarity with resident care planning and interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Bilingual abilities or additional certifications are a plus.
