Key Responsibilities
• Assist in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient care within the ambulatory surgery setting.
• Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and sterile fields to ensure a safe surgical environment.
• Support surgical team members during outpatient procedures and sedation cases.
• Adhere to clinical protocols and safety standards to ensure high-quality care.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers across various specialties to facilitate outpatient surgeries.

Required Qualifications
• Current certification to practice surgical technology in Oregon.
• Successful completion of a surgical technology training program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES, or equivalent military/public health training.
• Certification as a surgical technologist issued by NBSTSA or recent graduation from an accredited program.
• Valid healthcare provider BLS certification.
• At least two years of surgical technology experience in a hospital, surgical center, or federal agency (between 2014 and 2017).
• Ability to complete 16 hours of relevant continuing education every two years.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience working with diverse patient populations, including pediatric to elderly.
• Knowledge of computer applications related to healthcare settings.
