Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 6-week travel assignment, nights shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), working 4 nights per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on a Cardiac Telemetry unit, including post-procedural monitoring and assessment
• Read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips accurately
• Administer and titrate IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone
• Perform procedures including IV insertions, NGT placement, chest tube maintenance, and temporary pacemaker management
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care and adherence to unit policies
• Maintain comprehensive documentation within the Meditech system

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Missouri
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience in Cardiac Telemetry, PCU, or ICU settings
• Ability to read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips
• Experience with post-cardiac procedural care, including cardiac catheterizations and open heart post-op care
• Ability to administer and manage IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with post-ablation procedures and pacemaker care
• Familiarity with hospital equipment such as Alaris IV pumps, Hill Rom beds, and telemetry monitoring systems
• Strong patient communication skills, including respectful and responsive bedside manner
