- Full-time, Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized nursing care to residents in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting any abnormal findings to the charge nurse and physicians.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
- Assist with patient assessments, interventions, and education to promote patient well-being.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations, initiating resuscitation measures when necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safety and infection control standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as an LVN or LPN.
- Current BLS level CPR certification.
- Good physical health and stamina to perform nursing duties, including walking, bending, lifting, and manual skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Dependable with reliable attendance and good mental health.
- Strong assessment skills and ability to work well under pressure.
- Willingness to work night shifts and beyond normal hours if needed.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities.
- Knowledge of medication administration, IV starts, EKGs, and blood draws.
- Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
