Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive ICU nursing care to adult patients in a busy acute care hospital setting.
• Monitor and document patient vitals, respond to emergencies, and administer medications per physician orders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Adhere to hospital protocols, safety procedures, and maintain compliance with certification standards.
• Handle patient assessments, provide emotional support, and educate patients and families about care plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records using Epic charting system.

Required Qualifications

• Valid California nursing license in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years recent ICU nursing experience.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS.
• Ability to work night shifts and weekends every other week.
• Must be willing to float within hospital units and to nearby facilities as needed.
• Willingness to work major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic charting.
• Previous hospital-based ICU experience.
• Ability to work a block schedule or flexible hours.
