• Days, full-time, 1 shift per week
Key Responsibilities
• Clean, decontaminate, and process instrument trays following organizational standards and preference cards.
• Maintain sterilization logs for autoclaves and sterilizer systems, including daily Bowie Dick and biological testing.
• Perform bi-monthly cleaning of autoclaves and sterilization of GI scopes with proper documentation.
• Coordinate equipment repairs, ordering, and inventory control for supplies and implants.
• Assist in case preparation and opening using sterile techniques under RN and ORT supervision.
• Follow AAMI guidelines and participate in departmental committees as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulatory standards while supporting organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician
• Current Colorado license or multistate license (source verified)
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Immunization records, including immunity to Rubella, Rubeola, Mumps, Varicella-Zoste, Hep B, and Tetanus
• Recent TB test (QuantiFERON) within the last year
• COVID vaccination proof
• Negative 10-panel drug screen (within 30 days)
• Valid resume, references, and proof of regulatory training
• Criminal background check including OIG clearance and CAPS through the Colorado Department of Public Health
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior experience in sterile processing or a hospital environment
• Knowledge of autoclave and sterilizer operation and maintenance
• Familiarity with EPIC or other inventory management systems
