Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Night shift (5x8 hours), on-site
Key Responsibilities
- Perform histology procedures in accordance with hospital standards.
- Prepare tissue samples for microscopic examination.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic charting system.
- Adhere to safety and quality protocols in a fast-paced acute care environment.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure timely processing of specimens.
- Float between hospital units and nearby facilities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- California license in histology or related field (current and in hand).
- Minimum 2 years of professional histology experience.
- Ability to work the night shift (9:00 PM – 5:30 AM).
- Certification in histology preferred.
- Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year).
- Valid identification (SSN, DOB) for travel and background compliance.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Epic charting experience or similar electronic medical record system.
- Experience working in acute care hospital settings.
- Ability to float between hospital units and affiliate facilities.
