• Full-time, rotating shifts, 4 shifts per week, 10-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Perform instrument decontamination, including processing of endoscopes and surgical instruments.
• Assemble and sterilize instruments using various equipment.
• Operate and maintain sterilization equipment such as washer-decontaminators, ultrasonic cleaners, cart washers, steam sterilizers, and low-temperature sterilizers.
• Ensure all data and information management related to sterilization processes are accurately recorded and maintained.
• Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards during decontamination and sterilization procedures.
• Float to different units/departments as needed to support surgical and sterilization services.

Required Qualifications

• CRCST or CBSPD certification.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in decontamination and sterilization of surgical instruments.
• Experience with endoscopic instrument processing.
• Proficiency with sterilization equipment such as washer-decontaminators, ultrasonic cleaners, steam sterilizers, and data management systems.
• Ability to work 8-hour shifts with flexibility for floating to various units.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a surgical or sterile processing department in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of data and information management related to sterilization processes.
• Previous employment at a healthcare organization using Sanford Health protocols (must note if applicable with end date more than 6 months prior to submission).
