- Full-time, nights, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and every other holiday
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to medical-surgical patients in a 10-bed unit
- Collaborate with healthcare team members, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Utilize electronic medical records including Epic for documentation and order management
- Demonstrate competency in caring for adult and elderly patient populations using evidence-based standards
- Operate medical equipment such as monitors, bladder scanners, and telemeters to monitor patient status
- Ensure proper patient safety, comfort, and compliance with hospital protocols and standards
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year recent medical-surgical nursing experience
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Current RN license in North Dakota or a compact state, or willing to obtain
- Experience with Epic EMR system
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a hospital with at least 250 beds, level 2 trauma center or higher
- Previous work with Sanford Health within the past 6 months and documentation of the end date if applicable
- Ability to float across various med/surg units within the Fargo campus
