Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical services in an outpatient setting, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient use of resources.
  • Support clinic staff and providers to maintain smooth daily operations, including managing front desk and patient interaction.
  • Maintain medication inventory and complete quality control checks for Point of Care tests.
  • Document all patient care and services accurately and professionally in compliance with organizational standards.
  • Assist providers and clinic staff as needed, anticipating their needs to facilitate effective patient care.
  • Oversee clinic opening and closing procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient workflow.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to support patient needs and uphold care standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska or another U.S. state (must have applied for Alaska license if applicable).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Clinical competence within 3 months of hire and every three years thereafter.
  • High Risk Competency within 3 months of hire and annually.

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • At least 1 year of acute care nursing experience.
  • Knowledge of nursing processes and ability to apply in clinical settings.
  • Strong customer service skills and understanding of safety and infection control principles.
  • Proficiency in assessments, specimen collection, and use of medical and computer equipment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, and collaborate as a team player.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to maintain effective working relationships.
