Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive physical therapy services to a diverse outpatient population, including pediatric to geriatric patients, across various diagnoses such as orthopedics, neurology, vestibular, and wound care.
• Conduct patient evaluations, develop treatment plans, and administer therapy in both hospital-based outpatient clinics and village-based settings.
• Travel to remote villages for inpatient, outpatient, and home care visits, ensuring culturally sensitive and age-specific care.
• Adhere to all standards of care, practice guidelines, and regulations including JCAHO, OSHA, and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and medical staff, to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports reflecting patient progress and therapy outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current Alaska Physical Therapist licensure in good standing.
• CPR certification.
• Hospital-based experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment and communicate effectively across cultures.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in outpatient, inpatient, or home health physical therapy.
• Familiarity with therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electric stimulation, and therapeutic exercise equipment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interpret complex instructions and communicate with diverse populations.
