- Full-time, night shifts, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift, possibly 13-26 weeks contract
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to Medical-Surgical patients with oncology history
- Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, IV, PO, or injection treatments
- Monitor and manage inpatient patients, including wound care and drain management
- Collaborate with healthcare team to maintain safe and effective patient care
- Float to similar units or alternate care locations as needed
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols, including isolation precautions
Required Qualifications
- Valid NC or Compact registered nurse license, in hand at start
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient RN experience
- Experience working in a Medical-Surgical/Oncology setting
- Certified in Oncology (OCN) or able to obtain
- Ability to administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and manage central lines, ports, PICC lines
- BLS certification
- Pass EKG testing prior to start
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CPI certification
- Charge nurse experience
- Experience with blood product administration and emergency procedures

Additional Details
- Shifts scheduled for nights, with a requirement to work every other weekend

- 24-hour unit orientation (2 shifts) and training modules prior to start
- Must be comfortable floating based on skill set and census fluctuations
- Covid and hospital safety protocols in place, adherence required
Note: Prior healthcare employment at the facility within the last 12 months requires rehire approval.
Travelers are expected to follow all compliance and safety policies, including timely testing and reporting.
