Key Responsibilities

• Perform initial triage and comprehensive assessments of patients seeking urgent care services.
• Provide therapeutic interventions, including medication administration via various routes, and operate monitoring and specialized medical equipment.
• Coordinate patient care, manage referrals, and track patient outcomes, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
• Document assessments, interventions, patient education, and communication accurately in electronic medical records.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to infection control and safety policies.
• Assist with emergency situations and participate in departmental and organizational improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and eligible to take the NCLEX.
• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alaska or a U.S. state (application required if outside Alaska).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Clinical competency certification within 3 months of hire, with recertification every three years.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of general nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an ambulatory or urgent care setting.
• Knowledge of patient triage, urgent care protocols, and clinic procedures.
• Strong assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
