Registered Nurse – Rehabilitation (Charge Nurse)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Function in a charge nurse capacity, leading and directing a team of LPNs and CNAs on the night shift in an inpatient rehabilitation setting
• Provide direct patient care to inpatient rehabilitation patients throughout their stay
• Perform phlebotomy, IV therapy, and manage gastric tube feedings as required
• Utilize electronic health record system (Cerner) for accurate and timely documentation
• Ensure safe, high-quality patient care in alignment with inpatient hospital standards

Required Qualifications

• Active, valid RN license – must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1.5 years of inpatient rehabilitation nursing experience, within the last 2 years
• Current BLS (CPR) certification required
• ACLS certification required for charge nurse role
• Proficiency in phlebotomy, IV certification and experience, and gastric tube feed management
• Comfortable and confident leading a team in a charge nurse capacity

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIH stroke scale certification preferred (onsite training available if not currently certified)
• Prior experience in an inpatient hospital or rehabilitation hospital environment (not long-term acute care or skilled nursing facility)
