Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts, Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM | On-Call: 10 days/month including one weekend/month | 13-Week Contract
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a cardiovascular operating room setting serving adult and geriatric populations
- Perform circulating and scrub roles across a 3-room CVOR suite
- Support a wide range of cardiac and thoracic procedures including CABG, valve repairs/replacements, TAVR, VATS, Thoracotomy, Aortic Aneurysm Repair, and Robotic Thoracic Surgery
- Utilize electronic health record and medication dispensing systems including EPIC and PYXIS
- Communicate effectively using SBAR methodology and collaborate with the surgical team
- Participate in on-call rotation as required by unit needs
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina or a Compact state
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience
- Current BLS/BCLS certification
- Demonstrated experience in both circulating and scrub roles
- Ability to float within or near the facility as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CNOR certification
- Strong scrub experience in cardiovascular and thoracic procedures
- Familiarity with IABP insertion/removal and complex redo surgeries
