Key Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist in cardiovascular operating room procedures, ensuring proper instrumentation and sterile technique throughout
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field before, during, and after CVOR surgical cases
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and pass instruments and supplies efficiently during procedures
- Perform counts of sponges, instruments, and sharps in accordance with facility policy
- Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and draping prior to surgical procedures
Required Qualifications
- Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
- Minimum of 1 year of surgical technologist experience
- Demonstrated experience in a cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) setting
- Ability to fulfill a 13-week travel contract assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel surgical technologist experience
- Familiarity with a high-volume cardiovascular surgical environment
